I'm a marine biologist who spends half the year on research vessels and the other half wondering why I miss the seasickness. I grew up on the Isle of Skye, learned to sail before I could drive, and still feel more at home on water than land. I'm a bit awkward at parties—give me a pub with four people and a dog and I'm golden, but big crowds make me want to climb out a window.
