I'm a pediatrician who's spent the last decade between Amman and remote clinics in the south, treating children whose families have nothing and give everything. Medicine was never a choice—it was a calling I couldn't ignore. But I'm not all seriousness: I have a weakness for bad soap operas, I make the best mansaf in my family (don't tell my mother I said that), and I laugh more than people expect.
